Academy Stars is a new seven-level primary course in British English. Modern lessons are based on a comprehensive skills and grammar syllabus where English is as academic as it is communicative. Extending beyond just learning a language, Academy Stars prepares students for success on a local and global scale.

It contains a strong reading, writing and grammar syllabus, but with ample opportunity for communication and personalisation. Grammar and skills work is applied in highly motivating, real-world contexts to link language learning to everyday. A unique learning skills strand, including critical thinking, learner autonomy and social values, prepares pupils for life beyond the classroom.

Interactive whole-class learning is promoted throughout the course through the use of strong print and digital classroom materials, including beautiful animations and videos to enhance engagement and understanding.

The Pupil's Book contains a strong skills and grammar syllabus, applied in highly motivating, real-world contexts to link language learning to everyday life and encourage pupils to think about global and local issues. A unique learning skills strand, including critical thinking, learner autonomy and social values, prepares pupils for life beyond the classroom.

Words in each unit are presented in the context of a visual background that helps to activate them in real conversation whilst the listening and reading segments help pupils get ready for writing and further speaking assignments.

The course caters not only for linguistic competence but, perhaps even more importantly, it aims to support student’s development of cognitive abilities and life skills that are vital for future academic development as well as real life outside the classroom.

The Teacher's Book provides clear and concise support for lesson planning and teaching. User-friendly teaching notes are available for each lesson of the Pupil’s Book with on-the-page audioscripts and answer keys. The Teaching star! boxes provide a professional development in action strand through useful classroom tips, practical activities and support for teachers. For the Workbook, there are helpful teaching notes for exams practice activities and writing lessons, as well as answer keys.

The Teacher's Resource Centre consists of additional resources and ideas to extend lessons and learning, and gives further practice of key language. Focuses on giving teachers flexibility and the means to deliver dynamic and varied lessons

Colourful flashcards to present and practice vocabulary in numerous games and visual activities. The flashcards provide the opportunity to motivate and engage students through language and literacy games. They also assist teachers in presenting new language.

The Presentation Kit consists of a downloadable digital version of the Pupil’s Book and Activity Book to be used in class, with integrated audio, video, interactive activities, and answer keys. Focuses on promoting heads-up interactive learning. There is also an interactive vocabulary tool to enhance the presentation and practice of new language, with audio. There are 3 types of video: a Graphic Grammar animated video which brings the language to life through a memorable presentation; a Language in use real world video which shows real children acting out the dialogue; and an animated story video that brings to life the Reading Time stories.
